Trans and Gender Diverse Australians have higher degrees at twice the rate of the general population but the unemployment rate for trans people is 19%, almost 5 times the rate of the general population. Your gender affirmation policies are welcome for those few trans and gender diverse people you employ, but most of us are unemployed or underemployed, primarily due to structural discrimination. This discrimination is very visible to trans people but may well be entirely invisible to your recruitment teams. You can make a difference.
